I remember my first deal. I was 7, and had a greasy mullet. One sunny Tuesday afternoon as I was rolling through the streets on my multi-colored tricycle, I passed by a lemonade stand and recognized the dude hustling the lemonade. It was little Timmy. If you’ve ever tricycled on a hot sunny Tuesday afternoon with a greasy mullet the length of the Great Wall of China you would understand how parched my lips were. With eyes on the lemonade, I began to salivate profusely. After drooling onto my t-shirt, I checked my faded jean shorts for some cash. I counted 37 cents and an afro pick (never did find out where the afro pick came from). What was I going to do? I couldn’t possibly have enough money. Persistent, I walked closer to the stand, and saw a sign saying “Lemonade – 10 cents”. I was in disbelief. Surely, the lemonade must be revolting if little Timmy was selling it at 10 cents. I tossed him a dime and grabbed my drink. Now let me tell you, this lemonade was not your mediocre at best, lemonade. This was the greatest lemonade the world had ever seen. As the sugary liquid slid down my throat, I still remember the overwhelming feeling I had. I quivered. I just got an awesome deal and it was out of this divine experience, that I knew what I wanted to do with my life.
